Tramal( international name - Tramadol) is a synthetic opioid that exerts a pronounced analgesic( analgesic) effect due to its agonistic effect on the opioid receptors of the central nervous system. The effect of Tramal is noted after approximately thirty minutes from the time of taking this medication and lasts for five hours.

Form of Tramal

The drug is available in the form of capsules weighing 50 mg, intended for ingestion, as well as in the form of a drip solution with a mass of 100 mg, in the form ofsuppositories with a mass of 100 mg and an injection solution.

Indications for use Tramala

According to Tramal's instructions, this drug should be taken to patients suffering from pain syndromes of varying degrees of intensity. The drug is used mainly for acute myocardial infarction, oncological diseases, as well as in the period after the heavy operations. In addition, Tramal is used as an anesthetic in the process of medical and diagnostic procedures, accompanied by pain.

Contraindications

According to medical reports about Tramal, this drug is characterized by a fairly wide range of contraindications. Thus, the use of Tramal is contraindicated in the presence of a patient's allergic reaction to the components that make up its composition, as well as in conditions characterized by respiratory depression or nervous system. To such conditions can be attributed poisonings of a different nature: alcohol, drugs, psychotropic substances, hypnotic drugs. This remedy should also not be used concurrently with MAO inhibitors or during the first two weeks after discontinuation of their use.

Children under the age of 14 years can use the drug solely in the form of a solution. Do not use Tramal for women during pregnancy and lactation. Use of this drug by women during pregnancy is allowed only in extreme cases and only under the supervision of the attending physician. This is due to the risk of developing fetal addiction to the drug and the subsequent occurrence of withdrawal syndrome.

Special instructions for use Tramala

In accordance with Tramal's instructions, the drug is prescribed with special care to patients with impaired liver and kidney function, head injury, increased intracranial pressure, epilepsy, and patients prone to drug dependence on opiates and to individualsage over 75 years.

In the process of Tramal's application, one should refrain from drinking alcohol and performing activities related to the need to apply psychic and physical reactions of high speed.

Instruction Tramala: method of application of

In order for the therapeutic effect of Tramal to be maximized, the necessary dosage established by the physician should be observed, depending on the patient's sensitivity to the minimum therapeutic dose of the drug, and the severity of the pain syndrome.

For children aged 14 and older, this medication is prescribed in a single 50-mg capsule, regardless of the time of ingestion. The absence of a pronounced therapeutic effect of Tramal makes it possible to increase the dose. The maximum allowable daily dose of the drug is 400 mg.

Drip solution should be used in a dosage of 20 drops( 50 mg of Tramal), with plenty of water. In the presence of severe pain, a single dose can be increased to 40 drops( 100 mg).The maximum allowable daily dosage corresponds to 400 mg of the drug.

Rectal suppositories are intended for deep insertion into the anus after the stool.

According to Tramal's instructions, a drug in the form of a drip solution can be administered to children under the age of 14 years. In this case, a single dose is 2 mg of the drug per 1 kg of the child's body weight. The maximum allowable daily dose is 8 mg per 1 kg of body weight.

Side effects of

According to the reviews about Tramal, this drug is well tolerated by the body. Nevertheless, in some cases, during treatment, patients may experience side effects such as nausea, increased sweating, dry mouth, dizziness, tachycardia, increased fatigue, lower blood pressure and headache.

In reviews about Tramal it is also noted that a drug in a number of cases can cause the development of a patient's flatulence, vomiting, rubbing and stomach pain. There is also the possibility of developing side reactions from the psyche, expressed in changing the emotional background, changes in perception, sensitivity and behavioral reactions.

Overdose

Side effects of Tramal in overdose can be expressed in the occurrence of unconscious and fainting conditions( up to coma), lower blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, epileptic seizures and difficulty breathing.

In this case, treatment is carried out using morphine antagonists. Seizures are eliminated during the use of funds related to the benzodiazepine group.

Storage conditions

The drug should be stored in a dry room at room temperature. Shelf life of suppository, solution for injections and capsules is five years. Shelf life of the drip solution is four years.
