Casodex - a non-steroidal anti-androgenic drug with antitumor activity.

Product form

Indications Indications for Casodex purpose are the following diseases:

  • conjunction with surgical castration or analogue of GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone) for the treatment of prostate cancer (for the dosage of 50 mg).
  • as monotherapy for the treatment of patients with prostate cancer (non-metastatic, locally advanced), when other medical intervention is not applicable or not acceptable (for the dosage of 150 mg).
  • as adjuvant therapy or immediate monotherapy in combination with radiotherapy or radical prostatectomy in patients with locally advanced prostate cancer (for the dosage of 150 mg).

Contraindications Contraindications to receiving the drug are:

  • Children's age and female gender.
  • Joint reception with cisapride, astemizole, terfenadine.
  • Individual hypersensitivity to bicalutamide and other auxiliary components of the preparation.

Casodex is used with extreme caution in patients with functional hepatic impairment, lack of lactase, with individual intolerance of lactose and galactose malabsorption syndrome / glucose.

Dosage and Administration
